Does it work with Polar checkouts and subscriptions?
Yes. ProofPup is built only for Polar — one-time purchases, subscriptions, and license sales. Connect via Polar OAuth2; we register the webhook, and new sales show up in your widget within a minute.
I only have a few sales — won't the widget look empty?
ProofPup imports your recent paid Polar orders when you add a site, so the widget has real events from day one. Every notification shows how long ago the purchase happened — older sales are never presented as fresh.
Is showing customer names legal in the EU?
ProofPup shows the customer’s first name (as it appears in your Polar order) and the product — no surnames, no emails, no amounts, and nothing about your visitors. Displaying your customers’ data remains your responsibility as the seller, but the widget is designed to keep that surface as small as possible.
What can I customize?
Where the widget appears on the page, when it starts, how often it shows and how long each notification stays, and the order in which purchases are shown. You can preview every change in the dashboard before it goes live.
Do I need a developer to set it up?

Will it slow down my website?
No. The widget is about 5 kB gzipped, loads asynchronously, and never blocks your page. It also sets no cookies and tracks nothing about your visitors.
What does "Synced from Polar" on notifications mean?
Every notification comes from a real paid order in your Polar store, delivered to ProofPup by Polar’s webhook — nothing is typed into a dashboard. ProofPup has no way to create or edit notifications by hand.
How does it get purchase data?
Via Polar OAuth2, requesting only the scopes needed to read your organizations, products and orders and to manage the ProofPup webhook. Polar sends every paid order to ProofPup through a webhook the moment it happens, and it appears in your widget within a minute — no polling.
